BACK HOME

Agios Gordios is an attractive village in an exceptional, protected bay surrounded by dramatic, verdant, pine-covered rocky mountainous scenery. Agios Gordios is on the west coast of Corfu, just 12 miles from Corfu town and the airport.
Agios Gordios is popular with those seeking relatively quiet beauty, a fine beach and a village that has retained some traditional Corfu charm along with tourist development. Farming and fishing carry on here alongside tourism. Agios Gordios has great views thanks to its hilly location and is cantered on a single main road that descends to Agios Gordios beach.

Agios Gordios
Agios Gordios beach is a natural centre; a mile-long curving stretch of sand, shingle and pebbles, with warm shallow clear water perfect for swimming and snorkeling and safe for children. Agios Gordios are popular with families with children of all ages as well as couples and backpackers.
It's unlikely to get too crowded. The beach is set in a bay between two headlands with an island at one end and a huge rock known as the Ortholith. Seafront tavern's, restaurants and a smattering of shops provide all needs without being either busy or noisy.
Nightlife is limited but not inexistent. Agios Gordios has some better-than-average restaurants using local produce. The west coast position means that wonderful late-afternoon sun and dramatic sunsets are a regular Agios Gordios holiday highlight.
Walkers will enjoy the hills and golfers have a course at nearby Ermones. Aqualand Water Park is a popular excursion for children. There are regular buses to Corfu town for a bigger selection of shops and bars. Pelekas and Glyfada are two popular resorts even nearer at hand and an Agios Gordios holiday is not complete without a boat trip to view the dramatic coast of western Corfu
